Below are a
number of favorite quotes consisting of kind words from friends of
different places. I include them
in appreciation for their having been said and share them to give an
idea of how this art-form offers the potential to connect with others.

move me to tears then to bursts of bladder leaking funnies!! Thank you! You are wonderful. Love, Angela Masciale , host of King Hooper Cafe Open Mic, Marblehead Arts Assoc., Marblehead, Ma, 2009, angelamasciale.com
Hola
mi querida Cheryl, Thank you so much for your wonderful feature
this Friday, what a joy to hear your rich and powerful and playful
words, so beautifully spoken. We so enjoyed the evening and so
many came from miles around to hear you and share the evening. Que
placer! Quelle joie! Gracias por tu espiritu precioso!

Perrault's poetry is personal yet universal. Her warm heart
embraces all and her humor engages the generations. She
makes you laugh and warms the heart with thought.--- Karen Perkins,
Morse Institute, Natick Public Library, March, 2009
I
wish we could talk "forever" about how poems come and
especially ones that go from the darkest place into the dark places in
us. Your telling was so "straight from the heart" in
that way you shared "chaotic pain" with us in audience and how
it was for you to find solace through your lovely daughter's words (most
likely seeds you planted once). I was/am always in a better place
when I hear how courage is learned along the way of "going in"
and you sure did go in for this poem. Thank you Cheryl, for your
gift of poetry, Linda Havel, poet and storyteller, 2009 About
poetry on page and cd: Cheryl, once again, you made me cry!
(people in the newsroom are going to wonder if I'm going through
postpartum depression with all this crying at your poems!) --Karen
Gibson, Editor of The Hopkinton Crier News, 2009 I
found Roar to be quite sensational---I found myself crying and laughing
at any given time. The stories were so real and captivating that I
lost myself in the experience—because I could relate to the wonderful
women’s themes; loving someone through time—even as they lose their
faculties, going the extra mile to create a costume for my child, and
the magical transformation when we find our “Roar”. .--Nancy
Cantor, Director and Founder of The Women's Dream Factory, cantorconsulting.com ...even though each poem is a sharing of Cheryl's own life, feelings, thoughts and deepest soul, she gave me a glimpse to the deeper parts of herself which are often the deeper parts to myself...the collective thoughts and feelings of many of us as we go on life's journeys....and the flowing words are put together in such a way that her poetry makes me yearn for more of her poetry. ROAR is a sacred peek to childhood, to parenting, to raising our own children and the feelings it evokes, to little and big things we greet along life's way, to love, to hurt, to aging, to laughter at the laughable and the painful. I highly recommend ROAR! Cheryl Melody, cherylmelody.com
Cheryl became a part of our Artists for Alzheimer's program several years ago with her accompanist Steve Rapson. Her commitment
and enthusiasm has led to a monthly Women of Poetry group led by Cheryl.
It is not always
After taking the "fill in the name" poetry workshop, I
can now say with confidence, "I'm a poet." The supportive,
imaginative and warm teaching style of Cheryl Perreault and Kate
Chadbourne made it fun and easy to write poems. In just a few hours, I
wrote three powerful poems, one I'm going to send out for publication
immediately. This is a great way to release your "inner poet."
